Just thinking, may go for one of these. I know there not too many about but it i sa yeti so should be good. Any thoughts from riders much appreciated.
No no absolute no debate on 29ers v 26/650/69er/ unicycle etc...
Just looking for a bit of feedback on these bikes for general cross country riding, nothing too tech ot trick, CYB is about as tech as it could get but mainly general local trails and track.
Thnaks
I knew they were not everyone's choice but surely someone has one to comment on. Thanks.
Last bump to top then I give up.
Do I go for
Yeti bigtop
Salsa marmasita
Orbea alma carbon
Some one must have something to say, this is STW after all.
Just ridden my big top for the first time in a few weeks and I've realised I've missed it, a lot. I find it pretty confidence inspiring and I must admit it makes me feel like I'm probably better on it than I am. Holds its line well, doesn't get bounced around and is nice and comfortable too.
Our demo has been out twice in the last 6 weeks, both have resulted in sales , think that says something too.
Our bike is built up with an F29 100mm QR15, Roval Carbon wheels and 1x10 XT
Hi Jon
Thanks for info, I was beginning to think no one was riding one. Althought I know they are not overly common ..
What sort of riding are you doing.
Do you work in a bike shop? " our demo". . What size is it. Spec sound bit top.
Thanks again.

Raced a horrifically muddy 24 + then 12 on it, ridden trail centers without dying, done Transcambrian on it, about to do a big highland bike packing tour on it. As a good adaptable fast riding HT it works very well.
Had some creaking issues which were eventually sorted by regreasing everything and using a torque wrench on the drop out bolts.
Chees mal. Good to know, I'm sure it would be good for majority of my riding. Long open tracks trails etc. it was the trail centre bit CYB Im unclear on. Is head angle too steep.
Glad to hear you've not died doing trail centre stuff. 12 hours for me could possibly kill me.
