[Closed] Yeti 575, how big are you, how big is it and how good is it?

Looking to get a 'bigger bike' and like the look of the 575 (even the CRC ones with a few quid off).

So size wise, how big are you and what size are you riding? I'm 6'1" with a 33" inside leg.

Is there anyone with a large in the Sheffield area that i could have a sit on to check for size?

Thanks for your help.

6th dead on and ride a large. Same leg size. Large is fine for me, run an 80mm stem and dont think I have massively long arms or anything.
Up in glasgow so might be a tad far for you to have a go!

I'm 6' 1'' and on my second 575. Both have been large and I find the fit pretty much perfect. It's quite a tall frame so I run a lot less seatpost than usual, but anything smaller would be too cramped. Amazing bike, no regrets.

FWIW I'm 6' with a 33" inside leg and ride a medium. Don't find it too cramped at all.

It's very good.

You've not said which year 575 your buying. I found the 08 swoopy toptube model came up big on me and I ride a medium. I'm 5ft 9ins at a push but they are tall bikes so it depends on how you like your bike. To me you sit "atop" on the 575 as opposed to "in" on say a 5 Spot or Intense 5.5.
I've owned all the above and if you can get the 575 cheap then it'll make a good bike. They're well made and well designed, the paint can chip easy but the ano models don't suffer from that. The 08 model I had has the headset that's faced at the top and is bare metal so when you fit a headset it shows an area of bare material which to me looked odd. But out of all the long-travel bikes I've owned and ridden the 5 Spot is the best, not only to ride but also to live with long term. Just my opinion ok.

Forgot to add what I thought of it. 😆
I've looked at changing it a few times in the last 4yrs, but only for the current model. Basically I love it, light, fast, it genuinely makes me smile. I've pretty much settled on keeping mine until I kill it now and it'll probably be replaced by the latest one.

I'm 5'9" and ride a small(2009) .... they are 17.5" and with a layback seatpost & 90mm stem feels perfect for both up & down. Did have a medium but found it didn't live up to my stumpjumper when climbing (I know the stumpy was less travel) but the 17.5,small does.
Must say on the decent's I had an Intense 5.5 EVP that was amazing ..... often regret getting rid of it. Evolution Imports sometimes have crazy offers on .... I got my small 575 new for £699. Nothing on there at the moment but something may come up towards the end of the season.
5.5 EVP's sometimes come up on here or ebay for fairly cheap prices ..... great bike. Mine was a medium @ 19" ..... strange I know but they are pretty short reach wise.
..... love my 575 though great trail bike and light enough for all day.

Didn't say much about mine. Love the ride, paint help up very well, althought frame did crack around bottom bracket area (09 model). Replaced no hassle with Black ano. Preferred painted version as it was easier to clean. Just done a week on the Alps, and had no hassle keeping up with the guide on his Alpine 160. The only issue is I would have liked to have had a bigger tyre on the back for the Alps. the max I can get in without rubbing is 2.35, but it's only a minor point.

oh, and the carbon rears on the older models will snap and need replacing on warranty.

I have this frame for sale if you fancy a used one. I'm 6ft, 33" I/L and ride a large.
