[#6092269]

So out riding last night and my XTR M980 rear shifter developed a fault.
Shifting up from the bottom of the cassette I get 4 shifts up the cassette and then a bag full of neutral pulls with nothing happening. Has anyone suffered similar and is there a cure or is it warranty time?
I have removed the rear cover from the shifter and given the internals a squirt of lube.while the cover was off i had a quick look inside while shifting and nothing jump out at me as being obvious knackered.

I had something similar when trying to repair a faulty shifter for a customer, seem to remember one of the internal ratchets having jumped a few teeth when a stuck pawl was dis-engaged. Took a lot of fiddling and educated guesswork to get it all back as it should be, good luck with it.
