Can you get rid of the scrubbing marks on the 970 series xtr chainset using a compoud or something similar.Obviously this will depend on how bad the marks/scuffs are.

You'll be lucky, best bet would probably be to properly refinish them, strip off the anodising and polish or something. Or... just fit helicopter tape when they're new!
Looks like the new ones are a slightly different profile.
