hi all, is xtr worth the extra money over xt for the shifters,its 10 speed.and on a different note would a xtr 9 speed left front 3 speed work has a 2 speed ok, or wouldnt it shift up the same

The quality of your shift comes from the shifter, not the mech, I run new XTRs and they feel luxurious in comparison to a mate's XTs. Keep your cables clean and they are well worth the money

I don't like the current XTR shifter at all tbh, they feel like they're not connected to anything. But ymmv- they're very well made, just down to feel. I'd rather have deore tbh! (but I bought Saint, as it's as high quality as XTR with a lovely chonky feel.)
