Just bought most of a 1 x 10 set up, but have overlooked cassette compatibility with my rear hub - XT M756. Quick google search doesnt give an obvious answer.

Anyone help or is a new freehub or wheel on the cards? ๐Ÿ˜•

i thought 10 sp took up the same space as a 9sp cassette, just the spacing between sprockets was narrower to allow the extra one, hence the need for a narrower chain

Any 8/9/10 spd hub will work in a 10spd setup.

Cassettes haven't got any wider since the days we all moved from 7spd to 8spd, the gaps have just got narrower in the cassette.
