It's not really roadies racing round a grassy field any more

Why are so many hikers called "Emma"? I'm sure he kept saying "Thanks Emma" when people stood to the side.

Goes to show you don’t need a mahoosive ‘enduro sled‘ to have fun..

Awesome riding from Nino! Left a man whose no slouch himself for dead!

He obviously puts the hard work in but he always comes over as really having fun when out on his bike.

People are surprised that top xc riders can descend fast? I've not raced xc for years but even in the late 90s it was technical (up here)

Also, he's on his home trails...

Great link - thanks! Just really sad our booked Alps holiday is now postponed for 12 months - it reminded me of watching our xc race kids just vanishing into the distance.

And the pink bike xc wormhole led me to this - perfect size for Ampthill^ 🙂

Smart video but as said above some of the descents in XC races in this country back in the Mid 90s were quite crazy at some races and you never had full-suss then there was a drop into the quarry at Cheddar and the amount of people who face planted that then the cliff at Eastridge etc .

No, but that doesbt mean it's not entertaining.

You're a miserable bugger you are, Jesus, I was just linking to a fun and interesting video and somehow you turn it into something unhappy.

Do you ever have a look at things you post and ask yourself why you have to drag everything down?

Anyone whos watched the WC XC the past few years will know that not just the male but also the female XC racers are fast up and down.

Just watch Rob Warner with Jolanda Neff and see how he has to work hard to keep up with her.

Yeah but his skills are way beyond normal so I think my trail Nike is justified.

Didn't Nino use to race DH then XC-ed over to XC?

Anyone else watch La Bresse and Stellenbosch on RBTV last night? Annika Langvad disappeared off-screen to avoid the "why did you take the chicken run" questions, methinks.

Only just made it 29 inch wheels. It did feel long at Woburn in a few places

@Onzadog and anyone else who cares, he's saying 'zäme', which is kind of Swiss German for 'zusammen', which in German means 'toghether'.

So to more than one person, you might say "Danke, Zusammen" in high German, or more likely in Schweizer Deutsche "Merci, zäme".

Kind of like saying "Thanks everyone", or "Thanks folks", but foreshortened in local dialect.

Also, in Graubünden, where Chur is, there is a 'respect' code for both walkers and cyclists sharing all the paths, so keeping things happy and pleasant is good for all (see how much they slowed down for walkers?)

Christ, I've even bored myself with those answers...

The care around walkers was noticeable and commendable. A fun video to watch OP, thanks.

Good video, enjoyed. Nino is obvs quick. All the comments of 'I can't believe how quick he is on an XC bike' aren't really warranted though, it's an XC trail. Long travel bikes are only quicker when it's rough enough to warrant the travel. I know my XC bike is quicker on some of my descents.

Also, Claudio did very well to ride at that pace on sight! Was sure he was going to crash several times!

Enjoyed that. Had to Google who Claudio was as I'm not a follower of downhill racing. But now knowing that he's a world class down hill racer I'm even more impressed with Nino's skills on the bike.

Looks a nice trail.

Fantastic, very impressive skills. I can only imagine the scowls if I tried to ride that fast down on the Malverns - not that I am capable of doing so without injury!

I'd not seen Rob meets Neff before. Good watch to see how seriously they take skills teaching in XC
