My new SIDs seem to be rather good, keeping an eye on the lowers just in case they deform like a lot of others have, but so far so good.

the new sids are great ๐Ÿ˜€

just one thing... be careful not to drive into an overhead carpark barrier with your bike on the roof ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ... cos then, they're not as great!!

doh!

yeah i'd be looking at SIDs or magura Durins.

I've just got a set of hope SP-3 wheels with stans 355 rims and hopes "lightweight" 160 and 140 rotors.

I'm also using thomson kit with a selle italia SLR saddle, and some ti bolts here and there

Bruce,
In the process of building up a S-Works frame to do some of the MTB races next year with you... So this is what i have decided on.

Full FSA K-Force finishing kit.
XTR Groupset
American Classic MTB 26 wheels
Fox F100 RL Forks

Its nowhere near done yet, but looking good so far...

And, I have tried the R7's before, alot lighter than the Sids or Fox's, but something wasn't quite right. Think you can get alot better for the money.

Josh...

Mine has-

SID Race forks
Full XT drivetrain with dual control
Race Face carbon bars and alloy bits (I'd have gone carbon but money didn't allow)
XTR hubs on Stans Olympic rims with Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres.

Mine's at the "robust" end of the XC scale, though and weighs 24lbs with a Giant Anthem X frame. It's more Enduro bike than full on racer.

If I were going for full lightweight I'd go

XTR
Sid Races (world cups are mental expensive)
XTR hubs on Stans Race
Lightest cockpit I could get away with, probably Easton EC90 or Race Face Next.
