Has anyone used this site before from Germany?
I've found this lyrik at a really decent price but have never used the site before.
I asked about this site too a few weeks back and got plenty of replies from members who have used them in the past and found them to be legit. But keep in mind due to brexit theres vat and 'handling' charges to go on top of this price.
You will probably find its not too far off the price of a lyrik over here once you add all the charges on
So the total sum isnt the total sum then?
Value of goods 549.83 £
Shipping(insured) 7.20 £
Total sum 557.04 £
Important BREXIT notes:
Please take into account that since Brexit all orders dispatched to United Kingdom are subject to import tax like in every other country outside of the E.U.
German VAT is already deducted.
Unfortunately we can not advise how much you will have to pay for orders with a total order value >= 135 GBP.
Please check the following website: www.simplyduty.com.
When you reject/return order because of the import tax we will not refund the shipping costs.
lyrik forks I bought from BD.de were about that my costs were about £160 off top of head.
https://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/how-much-duty-will-i-pay-on-imported-parts-from-germany/
And vat look at the thread

BF charged me wrong amount had to appeal and get refund of £64
I bought forks and extra air damper hence why there is higher costs but forks were around that £ price
add the handling fee by courier I was £12
Used them a couple of times since Brexit. Expect to pay an extra 35% by the time it gets through customs.
Just be wary they might say they have stock then ye go to check your order and it then says “On order” happened to my order for Zebs
Couldn’t give me a date for stock
Wouldn’t reply to emails or messages so ended up calling PayPal for refund
Eventually ordered from R2 bikes at same price
I was 540€ then £125 when they arrived at Parcelforce
I kept checking tracking and ended up going to the branch and paying the bill at the depot and got my forks
The letter from them came a week AFTER I settled the bill
I bought from them recently.
I bought Zeb ultimates, they worked out about 629€ with the german VAT taken off.
By the time I got them the import charges, handling fees and VAT added 229€.
This is fine and was cheaper than any UK supplier not that any UK supplier is actually holding any.
The biggest issue was parcelfarce
Parcel clears customs and lands with parcelforce, they marked it as out for delivery, I know there is a charge so I preempt this by going to the depot to pay it.
Can't pay it if they haven't written to you with a 17 digit code despite having the tracking details.
Had to wait 3 days for them to release the code, then paid it over the phone, while the office are telling me its out for delivery that day.
it wasn't it went out two days later.
Long story short, don't expect it within 2 weeks and your expectations will be about right.
I got the parcelfarce letter a week after I had them in my hand
Thanks Brexit and all the muppets who voted for it.
The biggest issue was parcelfarce
very much this. I was tracking it from Germany when it cleared customs tracking showed fee to pay, called them to pay fee, couldn't do that without code. Took to twitter and the person who I dealt with there got me the code within minutes. Called PF and paid the fee. 2 weeks later got the letter. Letter said something like if not paid within 21 days of arrival in uk will be sent back 🤷♂️
Then I calculated the fee should've been lower dealing with border farce that a new level of pain and antiquated systems.
so frustrating
Starbike were good as gold, they said it would take 2-3 days for stock to come in, it did then they sent it, took a couple of days to get to the UK then PF got involved...
A friend of mine bought those forks recently, from there. As above, the customs charges were significant but they did have stock and the forks themselves are great.
