[#3452956]

A friend of mine built up the wheel pictured for me last year as a bit of fun - the result was that it ruined the handling on my 99 Kona.

Roll forward nearly 12 months and I was messing about in the shed and propped up my Inbred with the wheel whilst I tinkered.

Surprisingly the wheel fitted in my Reba forks and actually looked right (to me!)

So what be your thoughts?

I didn't say she was a looker ๐Ÿ˜‰

Good work out for the shoulder, traps and triceps ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Cannot wait to point it down!

Bigger is always better in tyres IMO. Probably need to do a matching rear though to level the bike out.

Bike is actually a little lower at the front that with the std 29'' wheel.

Don't think I could handle the weight with a matching rear!

Makes it feel like there is more that 80mm upfront!

So that's why the saddle's pointing down at such an unnatural angle.

There is a surprising amount of clearance still in the arch but I will watch/listen for rubbing.

They were left in the sun a bit too long before fitting ๐Ÿ˜ณ
