Looking for a workstand for my Voltage FR which is not far short of 40lb in DH mode. There's not much seatpost to clamp to (I could swap it while working but I don't want to) I'd prefer a top tube clamp but it needs to accommodate the Voltage's boxy Cobra-shaped tubing. Will be used mostly for swapping wheels/forks/shocks
Needs to hold the bike solid and be easy to store

It's not exactly a workstand, but I've got a dog lead looped around a rafter.
It takes the weight of a tandem with the saddle hooked in to it and at least it allows me to turn the pedals or whatever.
I really ought to add a second dog lead for the other saddle or handlebars to take the spin out of it.
Ultimate solution would be a 2nd hand Kestrel or Park workshop stand but you specified 'easy to store' to that's them out.
Sturdiness is key so I'd say Park PCS-10 if on a tight budget or PCS-4.2 if not.
The 4.2 uses the newer style 100-5D clamp which opens very wide and actually has quite a shallow clamping area, making it ideal for clamping frame tubes.
BB-support stands are great from a stability perspective and fold down very small but you have to take a wheel out to use them and changing axle standards mean they're no overly future proof.
