[Closed] Works Angleset vs Short Steerer Tube

[#11445254]

I bought an angleset to improve the geometry on my evil following. It's a works components 1.5deg.

However, the stock headset and my current steerer tube (forks were cheap) left me only enough space to run the stem directly onto the upper headset cover with a Nukeproof 35mm stem.

Do 'Zero Stack' anglesets absorb any / significantly more steerer tube than a normal headset?

I.e. should I unwrap this or send it back with apologies for not thinking before ordering.

Yes, the top bearing is external, it adds probably 12 to 15mm

As above, the top cup is external and adds height. I think your stem is about as low stack as they come too so I think you are out of luck.

DMR Defy stem is about as low stack as you can get.
Might just be low enough to help.
Saved me a couple of times.
Other option is new steerer fitted by RSF but that'll cost a fair chunk more.

DMR Defy stem has an 8mm lower stack height than the Nukeproof stem (just swapped mine over last week)
