Anybody tried it?

Part of it's beauty ๐Ÿ˜‰ is the low BB. Does this ruin it?

Considering buying one and swapping bits across

I have thought about putting 36's or Lyriks on mine, but when I am climbing with the Pikes at 140mm it always lifts at the front, so this has put me off - I have a downhill bike as well, so this one I need to ride up and down!

Dunno but I'm selling my small frame. maybe I should try it with 36's first?

Do it...It rides amazing.
coil u-turns so you can use at 140 if you want.
sold the frame now to build a spicy 516 but i actually regret it as the wolfridge rids a lot better.
The attack trail is the same frame and comes with 160 lyriks as standard.

I ride a Hemlock with 36's at the mo. I think it has a 67 HA at that.

As the 6.8 has a 67 HA with 140's then 160 seems a big leap. Was the Attack Trail not corrected for the longer fork?

Its the 2009 6.8 i'm thinking of.

I rode the original new shape (08?) demo bike and loved it. I can always sell my 36's..

IIRC the Attack Trail is a slightly beefed up version of the Wolf Ridge, they appear the same and may well be now but i remember a couple of years back the Attack Trail was definately stronger and as a consequence, heavier.
Winstanleys are knocking them out dirt cheap at the moment, definately a bargain to be had.

Panic over, it's on it's way!

I'll try it with the 36's first and sell the Pikes if I like it.

A Wolf Ridge is warrantied for up to 160mm travel forks IIRC.

Mine feels much more purposeful with Wotans up front, it's not unnacceptable on the climbs either.

I'm out here in the Pyrenees at the moment and the steeper climbs are very tough at 160. Think I'll spacer them down once I get home. Fun going down though ๐Ÿ˜€

The are very strong ton.
They just feel so solid when out and about.
Nothing seems to phase that frame...

Hasn't the Attrack Trail (2009 model) got a tapered steerer? The guys who owns my LBS has one and we were comparing it to my Wolf Ridge 6.9 (also 2009). The BB area is beefier too to take the HammerSchmidt.

Yep, the 2009 Attack Trail does have a tapered steerer, a BB ISCG mount and slightly altered geometry and suspension links to work with the Hammerschmidt. Otherwise, it's essentially the same as a Wolf Ridge.

As for my own Wolf Ridge, the frame is extremely robust and certainly feels up to whatever I throw at it.
