Building a hack bike, to save my "good" bikes getting ground to nothing in winter, but i need a little advice from those in the know.
Its a frame designed for 26" wheels, but ive got a set of 700c wheels for it. Will any set of rim brakes have enough reach to clamp the rim, or do i need to get a particular kind that have more reach? (to account for the different position of the rims with regard to the bosses)
(Im looking at SD5's or Shortys right now)

Thanks in advance.

You'll need something like this

although for £25 each you'll have to be keen...

Or get his Paul brakes for 60 linky (need to go onto his flickr page)

again at 60 it's not really hack bike cheap 🙂
