I have an old Gore Windstopper Gilet but its really too short in length for me. I've tried the 7Mesh Resistance vest but it was really tight in the shoulders/armpits despite fitting well elsewhere.

Can anyone recommend a good windstopper gilet/vest? Something that folds small for carrying in a backpack and which will add a bit of warmth when a full on jacket or waterproof would be overkill.

I have a cheapish DHB one that works. Slim fit as I'm skinny.

My custom endura WT one is very nice, I don't know if you can get the equivalent in the shops. Close fitting but stetch panels so you can move.

Have both DHB & Rapha Brevet.

The Rapha is a bit ‘nicer’ feeling & fits a little better but the DHB is lighter & considerably cheaper. Pack down to about the same size but the DHB also has a natty little pocket to stuff it into which the Rapha doesn’t.

For rides when I don’t think I’ll need to take it off & put it in a pocket I’ve git a lovely Assos one but it’s a bit too bulky for jersey pockets.

I picked up a one industries vest on sports pursuit during my weekl alcohol fuelled purchase spree. It’s pretty decent.

morvelo ones look good- but they’re certainly not cheap.

I have a Gore WS one that I use a lot on MTB. Also have a Castelli Fawesome for road duties, which is nicer in every way, though awkward to get access to jersey pockets on the move.

Polaris do a good one. Picked mine up for £15 in one of their many sales.

Can’t see how anything more expensive would be better to be honest.
