Jenny Graham is attempting to break the women's Round the World unsupported bike record. Here's her tracker page  http://trackleaders.com/jennyrtw18f.php

The current unsupported record is Juliana Buhring in 152 days. The supported record is 144 days by Paola Gianotti. To break the record means a minimum average daily distance of over 200km

Jenny is tough as nails and always smiling.

I reckon she'll make a good fist of it. So long as circumstances don't stack up against her I reckon it's within her capabilities.

Custom Shand Stooshie.

Listening to her talk about the logistics made my head hurt, never mind the physical effort required.

Hope she has a great run, will be keeping an eye on the tracker.

That's Jenny.

I can't imagine sounding that enthusiastic after a month on a bike doing her mileages.

Well, Asia is behind her. She's made the transfer to Perth, Australia.

For her last day in China she rode 427km in 22hrs!!!!! Her comment on Strava was: "Had to gooo gooo gooo to make my plane!!! And guess what.... I MADE IT!! with about 1½ minutes to go"

She's just about to hit one of the real bits of Oz.

Luckily it's midwinter or she'd be roasting. 🙂

Jenny's now in Portugal 🙂

She did two 400km+ days to get her booked flight. 😮

She's 111 days in so she has 33 days to get to Berlin to beat the current time

Said she was tough as nails.

Going to have to revise that opinion.

What's tougher than nails? 🙂

Brilliant ride, she never seemed to falter and just seemed to take it in her stride (no doubt there were times though). Will take some beating.

It is a brilliant thing... but....

There does seem to be a gap in the pink line the other side of the Brandenburg Gate.... is there still a bit to do?

Excellent!

She just seemed to be getting stronger and stronger.  Some big days over the past few weeks.

She was sounding pretty chirpy for someone who has just cycled 500km over the past 32 hours.

@rickmeister - I think that the rules state a minimum distance, probably equivalent to the distance around the equator, so the start and end point don't have to be in the same place. Riders also have to pass two antipodean points, i.e. two points diametrically opposite on the globe, but there's a little leeway of a certain number of kilometres around each point - Wellington, New Zealand and Paris are the usual ones I believe.

Thanks for that Whitestone...

Its probably that Strava setting so that noone knows where you live.... but what you say makes sense.. as does Colin's comment on teh start. Its the Natural / logical landmark to set off from....
