Just setting up my new 29er's gearing and need a high-mount direct mount mech (came with a 3x10 xt 771) Just wondered if a 2x10 shifter would make it work with a 2x10 crank set up or whether I need a new front mech?
Don't want to use 3x10 as it's redundotastic and a 26/28 and 38/40 combo sounds spot on for a bit of everything.
