Mrs Ollybus rented a Whyte 604 hardtail over the weekend and loved it. So much so that we enquired about buying one. Now it happens that the hire place are selling off their rental bikes as the end of the season is upon us. The bikes are cleaned and serviced before they're sold on. New they were £500+ ex rentals are £329. But a quick google found that foranother £120 I could buy new as these bikes are '16 models. So new or used? Thoughts?

Buy new if only £120 more, you'll get some kind of warranty and maybe even a first service

Just bought one for my daughter, ex hire, very good condition. Note that the forks are pretty guff and she could hardly move them!
