Ive been to London on the train today - from a nameless northern well used station (best remain nameless to protect the innocent!

When I left, I spotted a rather nice IF Deluxe locked up on the platform. Not a beaten up shitty old one like the one I used to have, but a brand spanker in suitably top notch spec. I thought "bloody hell that's a bit nice Ti be left there all day". Now here I am again at 10.15pm on the way back and it's still there....I cannot comprehend leaving such a beautiful thing in such a place!

Whoever you are - get yourself a hack bike!

Let down by a Deore rear mech and a slightly naff chainring - needs a Hope or Renthal on those Middleburns, in my opinion ๐Ÿ˜€

A thought did occur to me that maybe it has already been stolen and the tea leaf uses it to go to the station....just in case anyone recognises it from the pic above.... ๐Ÿ˜€

but I still would leave it out in public all day and night

The padlock looks tiny to me so I'd suspect its not valued by whoever has it in there possession.
Have a word with transport police.

I asked Tim at Sideways if he recognised it (as he supplies IF's) but he didn't.....

...so still a mystery & I agree ref the size of the lock not being in keeping with the bike....

The hip flask carrier on that IF above is genius.

If that's the station I think it is, I've seen that bike before (at that station).
I saw it with it's 'owner' though.

I dunno, seems pretty standard for a certain niche. Seems to be making a statement more than being practical. Not that I have a problem with that tho, bikes are meant to be fun!*

Sorry folks, but to the non-collector/specialist/bike nerd (no offence ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) or common thief, that looks so unspectacular, just like any other normal HT. Probably pretty safe.

I can beat that for value stakes. A ferrari 599 left with keys in full view on top of front tyre in a train stn car park. Very honest MOP called the police, turned out the owner had done it so that his mechanic could collect it for a service after he'd got the train to work ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Maybe the other bike's not a fake.

I've seen a Cervelo locked up near here with a pretty feeble looking lock several times. I think it's possibly 'only' one of the Aluminium ones but even so.
