Anything I should know, looks like there's at least one killer steep climb but you expect that around there?

Anyone know what the general conditions are like? Is it one of those places that eats brake pads and turns into a mud bath or is perpetually dry and dusty?

It's in two weeks - 4th July isn't it?

Should know, i'm signed up for the 50K one - now, which bike...

Marin Wolf Ridge or Mount Vision? ๐Ÿ˜†

4th July, in a not very subtle way I'm asking what tyres? Looking at trying a few bits out for the Kielder 100.

i'm doing that killer climb on sunday morning so i'll let you know conditions but after so much sun i'd imagine it'll be dry and dusty, lets hope it stays that way for the race.

I'm doing it, it'll be my first event :D. How do you know the route/climb? I thought it was the first time it had been held at Grassington.

I'll be doing it,

I've done a few both crc ones and when Merida did them, they are usually very well sign posted, a few marshalls about at sections where dif distances split. So very easy to follow,

There has always been hundreds doing them along with the number plates so you'll see someone to follow,

I don't live to far away and unless we get some tropical down pour it will be very dry, Unlikely to cause any brake pad issues.

I'm doing the 50k with a couple of others if anyone wants to tag along.

Can you still enter on the day? Bit of a last minute decision, might be able to go but decision may have been taken out of my hands if you can't get in on the day. Website says entry closed, usually is close to the day to ease admin I guess but this early, is it really full?

You can still buy entry online through chain reaction cycles.

Wish I chose the Grassington one instead, I'm doing the Ruthin one and it'll probably be soaking wet by September ๐Ÿ™

Thanks nosemineb, had stumbled across that just now and came back to mention it, bit late now ๐Ÿ™‚
_tom_ Ruthin is a great day, it's the one I have done twice and loved it both times. Don't let a bit of damp put you off ๐Ÿ™‚
