Not very exciting but definitely no rubber band in there.

Rubber band?? I think someone may've been implying that there's a band brake around the sprag bearing.. 😉

No. Someone was claiming that xtr and saint use a 'proper'/metal clutch and the cheaper mechs used a rubber band that would wear out much more quickly

the original XTR one was a bit different, but other than that, they all work exactly the same!
