Tell me you didn't just carry your roadie outside for a laugh, take a picture then carry it back inside again!

I wish 😆 Planned a normal ride, however turned around after about 5 miles! Main roads were ok, very wet and cold, but the side roads were just annoyingly slow!

Stanmer park in Brighton, a pathetic 5.5 miles in well over two hours but the laughs, lack of grip and the many "where's the singletrack? the trails gotta be here somewhere..." issues made up for the lack of distance 🙂

I got out for a snow ride at 7am, but unfortunately there was more snow in Newcastle than on the hills... Still had a brilliant pre work ride and loved the sound of crunching frost...
sledging was fun 🙂
Slowish going but still a great 5hrs or so here in Notts today 🙂

Went out for a couple of hours and took the bike whoose brakes do no work in the cold snow. Should have thought of that. Riing in Glesmford/Standsed/Long Melford area in Suffolk. Slow going.

Two hours round Swinley. Worn Maxis Ignitors were no match for the 2.4 inch Nobby Nics. Pretty lethal by about 4PM. But my collar bone had a thorough testing 😳
Did my usual Ranmore -> Holmbury -> Leith...good fun but hard work. Nice to get up on Holmbury to enjoy the view 😐

Just a quick loop of some local woods for me today, but great twitchy fun with the Trailrakers proving themselves to be half decent tyres in loose fresh snow.

Charnwood hills of north west leicestershire.
Flippin hard work but only one off. lots of sideways action. Quite a few people out on bikes. Also the charnwood hill running race was on. That looked proper hard going.

A great morning ride on largely untracked virgin snow with hardly anyone about in Warwickshire between Dorridge and Henley in Arden.....over 15cm deep in places with the front wheel spending as much time going sideways as forwards at times!

Nice collection of Enduros/ SX's there.
I did about 5 miles this evening and the snow had turned to slush there was no grip anywhere I was all over the place. It wasn't ideal conditions to be testing the new bike.
I had no falls but my brother had some comedy ones especially as it was his first time on SPDs.
theboatman, didn't your mudguards just clag up with snow?
god, walked most of it! was about 3 foot deep at the top of the downs!

Have none from our Sunday morning ride in North Norfolk but can second perfect conditions, a good work-out and nice handling training.
Virgin snow was still dry and powdery, neither icy nor slushy, giving good grip and this nice creaky noise, while providing the magic carpet ride feel and muted atmosphere that only fresh snow can provide.
It helps to know the trails but lower speed makes even snow-covered obstacles less of an issue while everything is cushioned anyway. And the bike stayed clean throughout the whole ride!
