[Closed] Who has followed the TDF?

Hi

Ive always fancied watching a few stages of the Tour and this year may as well be the one when I try

Has anyone actually done it and what advice would you give?

I have a couple of mates interested as well
One only does camping and the other does five star hotels
There must be a common ground 🙂

Id rather do a DIY than a package

As the Tour is massively popular I imagine hotels and B&Bs get booked up pretty quick so I need to act soon

We dont plan on taking our bikes so thats not a worry
The major concern I have is how to find the good places to watch and where to find the good places to stay
Is it easy to get around varies stages or is it total gridlock?

Any advice for a Tour novice welcome
