too tight to buy a powerful set of lights so 1 lead acid battery, 1 20watt halogen spot and a lynx can later and hey presto great light set - bn using em for 3 years & no probs easily as good as comercially avalible lights - what did you make yours from?

No one makes homemade lights, or has ever made them. It's just you.

does buying the torches with the body extenders from dealextream count?

bought 4, shortened, driled the sides out, soldered soe wires in, hey presto, stupid levels of light ๐Ÿ™‚

I have similar Cree torches from Dealextreme 2 on the handlebars and one on the helmet.
Using handlebar clamps from cheap BLT lights with tie wrap channels cut with a dremmel and the torch tie wrapped to the mount. The helmet mount is off a specialized halogen which broke and is modified in the same way.

Cree are not as bright as the SSC P7 but get a longer run time

also got the protected 18650 Li-Ion batteries and charger
