I can’t choose between the Fox Float RL, and the RP23, to replace the Manitou 3way swinger that came fitted to my 04 Turner. OK a £100 price difference does make me lean more towards the RL, but what advantages are there for the RP23 over the RL?
Any one been able to make comparisons between the two in normal riding conditions?

Any chance you could get an RP2 and split the difference on cost?

Being able to turn the Propedal off completely.

Does your Turner need a platform shock? I know I prefer to have PP off a lot of the time on some bikes.

It came with a platform shock (sure the swinger was a platform shock!), but prior to that they came fitted with float rl's.

Performance, damping wise the RP23 is considerably better.

Loco - doesn't the RP23 give you more options for aftermarket tuning also?

Yes you have more option on compression and rebound tunes, the RP23 and RP23 with the Boost Valve have a different compression arrangement though.
