I thought I'd hijack your thread rather than starting another.

I had a budget of £350 and no more to build this for a friend.

Grips, KMC X9 chain, saddle and tubes from go outdoors 50% sale

New LX rear mech from the bay of E

Mavic 317 on Deore front hub and 521 on XT rear hub from Brizzle bike jumble

Everything else from the classifieds

Rocky mountain Flow frame, post and Hope headset
New LX shifter
New XT BB
New Goldtec ring
As new SLX cassette
LX cranks
Hope Minis in need of attention, new MC seal and bled through
Superstar Plasma chain device
Non-descript riser bars
Wellgo V8 clones
Spank Spike stem
WTB tyres
Rockshox Tora 318 leaking and in need of attention, seals replaced and serviced
And a few pimpin gold bits with the change

Thanks to everyone who supplied parts, my next trick is to turn a Kona Blast and a small pile of cash into an Orange Five with Pikes.

Great bike for less than the price of a Suntour/Dart forked, Alivio geared piece of rubbish and all the bits will last longer.
