My friend is after a new bike, looking to buy new around £400.

He's looking at specialised trek and scott at the moment. I suspect there are some other great deals about with a better component spec.

Anyone know of any?

Thanks.

If I was spending £400, my money would be going on a Voodoo Bantu one of these

You'd be a lot better going for pre-loved though

He's not that experienced and wants to buy new for sure. Thanks for the Bantu suggestion, I'll take a look.

I found this, only available in 16". Might fit him though I think.

Halfords have 40 off 400 so you could get the Voodoo Hoodoo for £460
