[Closed] Which fork for Ti 456 ?

I ran mine with some dt Swiss 120xmm fantastic foes and spot on for the ti456
Some one was selling some last week on here?

While on the topic, how is the Ti456 riding with longer forks? It's still 456, so it should ride with 150-160mm?
I fancy transplanting my bike from a Carbon 456 to Ti 456, just to try out the difference in ride. Right now I have Fox 36 RLC and don't want to change them.

@moridinbg 4-5-6 inches right? That's 100-150mm isn't it?

I ran my 456ti with Fox 36's for a bit as they where what I had.

I did run them with a soft spring so got loads of sag as I thought it was a bit like riding a barge.

I then put Pikes on (old version) and they were fine but it really made the trail come alive ( 😀 ) when I put on some 150mm Revelations.

They really suited it.

Well yes, but then the old 456 used be advertised as up to 160mm and touted as designed to run 100-160mm. They switched to 150mm because of EU regulations IIRC. The old C456 was 160mm Max, the C456 Evo says 6 inches.
Or are they designed up to 150mm now? Anyway, the Ti456 is an older design.

Fox 32 TALAS 140 RLC

I ran my C456 with 150 Revs - spot on!

Had one of the first batch of Inbred decalled ones that I owned for nearly six years and in that time it had various builds and forks, superb do it all which initially felt that bit too stiff but really started to get that nice ti complience when you started to turn up the hammer. In that time triedvarious forks
Pike 454 uturns - nice and stiff and bulletproof
32 vanilla's - lovely and plush but could be a bit overwhelmed with consecutive hits
32 rl - not nice with inconsistent damping
Lyriks - complete overkill unless hammering fast,steep and rocky
Black Box revelations - pretty much the sweet spot fork, light, stiff enough and great damping
Dual Position Sektors - 120mm for flowy singletrack, 150mm when it got steep and fast.
Would recommend fitting a Gravity dropper to increase its doitallability

I've the 456Ti Mk2 (still Lynskey but with the brake chain/seat stay extra tube.

Over the years it's had
Fox 36 150mm
Reba 120mm maxle
Magura Thor 140mm maxle
and now Revelations 150mm

The 36's seem to 'unbalance' the bike.
Reba's were very good and perfect for less technical places - the south 🙂
Thor's were good all-round and only were removed as they broke.
So I bought the Revs in the sale at Merlin; 2014's 🙂

Once I'd got use to the slightly longer a-c length for climbing I now love them. Support the front end and really work well on the rough fast trails where I now live - along with a soft Chunky Monkey 8)

the most important and unanswered question is what are you going to do with it.

I would avoid long travel 32's as they are too flexi for my liking in that length but better shorter.

My bike is a (repaired;-) Mk1 Ti456 and that has had Maguras on from day one which are a lowslung 140mm.
Never used the lever to reduce travel so I binned it.

Great bike for me. Sorry, can't recommend a current fork as I'm happily using older tech!

i ad the dt swiss launch control 150-110 on mine,

they are a great fork, thats why i have 3 sets, im ridng fat bikes at the moment. with one set of the dt swiss on my mojo hd

I bought the 15mm's, brill fork - light, stiff and supple.

the carbon EXC 150 i have is 20mm maxle

the black and the white magnesium EXM 150s are 15mm maxle

I most often ride cross country in the Cotswolds since that's where I live but I go to Cannock when I can and have been over to the Marin and Penmachno in Wales a few times.
