[Closed] Which Fat bike cranks for Hope BB?

I have a standard Hope BB that I'd like to swap on to my fat bike frame and would like to run a 104BCD single ring as I have a new one waiting to be fitted.

The Hope BB has GXP spacers fitted but I could easily remove them, which leaves me with a standard 24mm axle(?)

Can I run a Raceface Aeffect crank on the BB with no adapters required? I realise I would need a cinch chainring for this crank.

What are my other fit and forget options?
Can't be doing with all these bloody standards. I just wanted a simple single ring GXP crank but I'm struggling to find one.
What else do I need to be careful of?
Chainline?
Axle length?

Can I fit a double crankset with a single ring and achieve the same chainline as a dedicated single without issues? ie, GX 1000 double with superstar 30t NW fitted?

Depends on the bike mate, chainstays etc.

finding it so hard to nail the specifics - its almost like you have to take a best guess that it'll fit.

It are a Dune. A large I think?

If you want single ring I'd just put the 170mm Aeffect in it personally. It's a great crank, sensible price, fits very well (er, assuming they haven't massively changed it for the large).

OTOH SRAM could make sense since you have a decent SRAM-compatible BB. They ought to be cheap used too? Since lots of people bin SRAM cranks after discovering how **** the standard BB is.

And yeah, there is guesswork. Especially with Raceface's seemingly random sizing. The joy of still-evolving standards (as opposed to cynically nonstandard standards)

Surly OD may be what you're after having tried to read your pist right.

Check out triton cycles, they sell them.
They seem cery good on my Surly bike.
The black coating wears quick even from first ride but do I care!!!
