I've got some #242 in the garage is this good enough for frame pivot bolts or should I be using a higher strength ?

232 is fine.... 432 even better but just go with what you have. Most People prob would never use loctite anyway!

I really like the 248 chapstik type. It doesn't run everywhere like the liquid does.

Second the 248 chapstik it lasts for a hell of a lot of applications
