Hi
Can anyone give advice on which Full Sus I should go for. Stumpjumper FSR Elite 2009 or Trek EX 8 2009. They both have good reviews I guess the Specialized has better components but that does not make it neccessarily a better bike.
Any advice would be great
Cheers
Isn't there a bit of a price jump between them?
I thought an EX8 was about equal to an FSR comp, and an EX9 about equal to an FSR Elite?

I like Treks but the spesh is good too!
Personally I'd go for the Trek. I've got a Remedy 66, which is a nice ride, but the '08 bikes are much better. A mate who rides lots rates the Trek highly, but reckons the new Gary Fisher Roskoe the best bike he's ever ridden. Worth considering, as 2010 bikes will be coming in soon. Dirt magazine loved it too.
Had a Specialized and have now got an EX8. Trek is the better bike if you ask me. Mine is the 08 one, 09 has the mag link i think. Frame is spot on. Suspension is very active and just takes care of everything. Its not so active that you have to keep reaching for the shock tho. I just ride mine and dont bother with the propedal stuff.
Light, rides well, good kit except for grips and original tyre/rim combo (just a buggerto get tyres on straight) but dont let that put you off. Original wheels are bloody strong as is all the kit.
Fuel EX8 = Good times!!!
