I have just bought a new cube stereo and it has a xt double crank set, i want a bash guard to protect the chain rings as the bb hight is quite low, but i want to keep both chain rings on, not replace the large chain ring with a bash.. help?

FSA polycarbonate bash.
Cheap as chips, I've found mine to be indestructible, unlike the E13 bash ring I had.
Good luck with that. I've got an xt 2x10 set up. LBS says bash can't be fitted to it....something to do with bcg mounts or something?

I used to use these when I ran a double set-up using what had been an XT triple chainset but I don't know if/how they'll fit an XT double chainset - cheap, simple and effective:
