I'm looking at building up an AM/DH rear wheel, with a 150x12mm hub.
My requirements are...
- to be easy to service (preferably sealed cartridge bearings)
- to have a 6bolt rotor fitting
- to come with a steel freehub body
- to be 10speed compatible
- bombproof
- 32h or 36h are ok
I've found the...
- Hope Pro 2 Evo 150mm - £142 (CRC)
- Nukeproof Generator XL (2014) 150mm - £78 (CRC)
- Superstar Tank Ultra 150mm - £70 (Superstar)
- Hadley 150mm - £165 (Hadley)
I've got hope hubs on my other bikes and I've had no problems. But they are expensive compared to the Superstar Tank. The last Superstar hub that I had wasn't great, but it was over 5 years ago so they may have improved, or not. I don't know anything about Hadley or Nukeproof hubs.
Any recommendations or thoughts?
One of these for £30 instead?

Reliable enough for the price.
is a 150mm effectively the same as a 148mm boost - so many sizes i'm getting confused.
150mm is quite an old standard. Used to see it on a lot of big bikes in the mid-naughties. It's not the same

Hope.
Reliable, long lasting and great after sales service.
Think I'd be tempted to buy a used Hope or DT240 wheel and break it up. Often the cheapest way to buy a hub, especially with 26er devaluation.
i have a Hope Pro 2 12x150 hub in Black for sale recently stripped my DH bike
Transition.. Im intrrested. Pics and price? Mail in profile
I've got a pair of unused spank spoon hubs the rear is 150 the front is 110, if that's of any use, if so go on make me a light grey thursday bid.
