Hi all, first post but a long time lurker.
As the title suggests I'm looking for a new set of 120 forks for my new piglet. Done my research and top of list are these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=68493 Don't know how to post as a link on here sorry! Also recommended the rock shox Reba but they are listed at 100mm travel. Budget is around the £300 mark, but don't mind going cheaper to get a set that suit the bike.
Also being a newbie builder any one else with a piglet with any advice is welcome to chip in in any aspect.

Cheers

Sonny

These Reba 120mm with maxle would be spot on imo...

Hello

I have a Piglet with a set of 120mm Rebas. They originally came as 100mm but it's an easy job to alter the travel. The forks are great but one thing to watch is that if you run big tires there isn't much clearance from the fork. I run a Specailized Purgatory up front and there are plenty of scratches from where stones have gone through.

Love my Piglet, always good to see someone else with one!

I recently purchased those Reba RL forks with the 15mm maxle for my Cotic soul and they have been spot on. I would certainly recommend them 🙂

Cheers guys, Rebas from Nukes link were ordered on Sunday. Now it's just a pity I'm off to work for the next month and the wee piggy will stay in the loft till I get back. Another quick question about the only other thing I'm mot decided on is it worth buying a complete group set from the likes of Merlin (value for money) or just get the bits I want as I go along. Don't want to start another post with all sorts of questions!

Hi mmel, this is my first hardball since my hardrock so looking forward to the build. Have a canyon nerve just now which I love but always fancied another HT and the piggy looks like a fun bike to build and ride. Just hope the old bones are up for the lack of bounce on the rear.

Really are a man after my own heart, I came so so close to pressing the purchase button on a Canyon Nerve but the wife caught me just in the nick of time.

I love the rugged simplicity of my Piglet and aside from a bent mech hangar when the derailleur went through the spokes it's been great. I have an XT / Deore group set that I put together with some bit's from my old Rockhopper and some new.

Don't forget to post some pics when you get it all together 😀

Will do, it's the illegal ivory, which in my opininion looks by far the best.

Yep me too! 8)

Mine seems to suffer from abrasion and cable rub easily so I'd advise some good heli tape.

Mmel, why didn't you just surprise the wife with the canyon? I did. But be warned, I bought it while offshore, by the time I got home she had spent £4500 on an Audi s3! Excuse was that my bike was worth more than the car I bought her last year. But were now both happy I suppose.
