Gothenburg, Sweden. Loads of stuff on the doorstep - a little different from living in Barnet, London. ๐Ÿ˜€

Done Dalby today, gorgeous weather too. A lot of peeps riding in full length pants & long sleeved with rain jackets on, madness!

Anyways, thats it for me this weekend. Did 600 mile last weekend on the road bike going to watch the Giro in Amsterdam so having a chill out this weekend.

Pootle round some local woods this lunchtime, evening pootle in other local woods accidentally tuned into interval training as mp3 shuffle delivered speed tunes one after another. Cut Gate tomorrow afternoon, hopefully new brakes will arrive in the morning as rear is in need of a rebuild. Sunday pootle with boy on trail-a-bike.

After a hard weeks riding I'm going to enjoy the mundane of a local road ride on my own, I might even stop for a coffee in Wendover Woods.

I'm planning on a 75-mile round trip from Rochdale to Skipton (road ride).

Steadily ramping up my mileage for my C2C non-stop attempt. ๐Ÿ˜†

Well there is a 1km uphill at the start. That's enough effort for a Saturday ๐Ÿ˜†

77 miles all in, 5hrs 9 minutes at a leisurely 14.6mph average 8)

Seeing as that mileage on the C2C would put me just below Black Hill with 'only' 58 miles to go i'm not to dissatisfied with myself.

Also just eaten an entire packet of breakfast cereal though.... ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Good couple of hours up Western Park today, getting my confidence back up after a few nasty falls on the bmx yesterday - mtb is so much more fun for jumping! Only problem is now I want to swap my bmx for a more hardcore 26" (my trailstar keeps having things go wrong as its built as more of an "aggressive xc" bike).

Looking forward to cannock phase 2 tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚

I spent a couple of hours at Grizedale today and found out just how unfit I am. Still, nice weather and a great ride. Time for a beer now.

Got a bad foot so just did 26 gentle miles round Rutland Water. Not much fun on a Dialled Alpine with 2.3 tyres to be honest, but would have eaten my own arms if i didn't ride/bike this weekend.

The joys of having 1 bike for everything ๐Ÿ˜‰

Did Castle Bolton from Grinton today. Fantastic dry, sunny day with actual dust on the tracks - super quick!

Off to Dalby tomorrow mixing the red with some of the WC trail.

Pump track building at Dixons Hollow in Dalby tomorrow. Unsure as to riding as I'd have to take the 8" monster bike instead of my hardtail as it's currently without rotors or pads. Don't think I'd enjoy much of the WC circuit on the big bike. I might take it up and see how many disapproving glances and tuts I get whilst playing on some of the red ๐Ÿ˜†

XC race on Woodbury Common tomorrow. However, my lungs are feeling a bit funny after thrashing them at Newnham on Thursday evening so may give it a miss. Must be my age. ๐Ÿ˜•

Im doing my first Bucks off road sportive tomorrow - first sportive, first mass event, doing the 84 km (signed up to the 64 km and it was extended to 84 km :/) - should be good - hope I can last that distance - longest off road previously was 70 km the other weekend!

Well my ride at Cannock has been ruined! Bloody car won't start up, I was all geared up and ready to blast some singletrack as well. Had to settle for another early morning session at Western Park, jumping is getting rather smooth now ๐Ÿ™‚
