My mate who lives in Cardiff is the local expert/guide for the ride but I believe that it's one of Scants routes in the hills round Cwmcarn. To be honest this will be my first time riding off piste at Cwmcarn.
My mate reackons that the natural stuff up there (if you know where to go) is better than the trail centre ........... I'll let you know if it is after the weekend 🙂

crispy, sounds good. I went once North West of Pontypool and it was very good, but I'm sure I missed a lot of good tracks. My plan will be to combine a trip to CwmCarn and riding some wild tracks at the same time.

stumpy - that usually is the main topic of conversation everytime we ride up there. two years ago i just went up dalby all the time and then last year didn't bother buying a pass cos i couldn't believe what i'd been missing on the moors! i still need to explore a lot more round bilsdale though - most of my riding has been bransdale, farndale, rosedale and danby dale.
Pearce Cycles DH race at Bringewood for the weekend, forecast looks good and am sure it'll be a great weekend. Pearce races always are.

We have been to glentress for a play in the freeride this morning then onto innerleithen for a couple of runs.Day of rest tomorrow then a nice long road ride on sunday in training for a sportive we are doing in a few weeks.
