Got some time off so sneaking off for an early morning ride tomorrow.
Currently my only functioning bike is 120mm hard tail with conti x king and race king combo and tektro brakes which have the same effect as riding into a light breeze. So not suited what so ever to mud or anything too gnarly... So should I go to FoD and do the verderers (again) or head to afan and do the new penhydd trail as it looks fairly weatherproof?
I am fully aware I may die as a result of the race king...
Is the bike the limitation ? ๐
No just an excuse ๐
Not been anywhere except local boring stuff for a few months so don't want to push it...
Penn-hydd in the wind will be epic. Do it! And enjoy the views and go a bit slower if worried about the bike ๐
Think afan is the one to go for as they are new trails I haven't ridden.
Seem to have misplaced one of my gloves so might have a bit of a cold left hand in the wind!
The replacement Penrhydd looks like a motorway, flat and just as wide.
I cant say that i would want to ride any where today (based on the forecast)

No, sorry. 133mm minimum at this time of year. Stay indoors.
Just come home, torrential rain and really windy ( I believe this is classified as a tropical storm in the valleys?)
Just did the blue as didn't fancy being out much longer when at 'the top', nothing to do with being unfit at all...
