Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find a long lock cable. I want this to lock 10+ bikes in the garage to a wall anchor. I am struggling to find anythign more than 2 metres?
Many thanks
have a look at diy.com (B&Q) at the master lock garden set they have a 4.5m cable with them
Thanks Leigh, that's ideal.
2 cables & 2 locks ? might be a more flexible system for you, too
(allmax make 2.5m I think)
I only know of 2 metres max but wouldn't you be better off with more than one lock and just the one to the anchor? With the one lock once that is gone you can have the pick of the bikes. With several you might be able to remove the one from the wall anchor but you still couldn't move 10 bikes in one go. Thats the way i've always thought, know it takes longer to lock and unlock and it's a bit of a PITA but it's a lot less trouble than saving up for 10 new bikes. Also recently lost keys to my bike with two cable locks on and it took less than five minutes to remove both with a not very good hacksaw, good make locks as well.

chains upto 6m but they might be able to do longer. Also do matching padlocks so you can use one key on multiple locks. Also offer good advice on the phone.

I got a 4m sold secure Gold one in Homebase at quite a reasonable price
try a lock specialists
Harolds in sheffield are great (check the internet)
they will give you advice and supply what you want
the system is only as good as the weakest link.
I got a local metalwork shop to make me aground anchor
and a lifting gear hire company supplied me with some old wire lifting slings (I covered these in old inertubes for protection) and matched these to some good disk padlocks a D shacklelock joins them all together
hope this helps or gives you some ideas
