no they are not . lol . i bought the strips from them and said oh i need the valves to go with them. i waited two weeks for them to arrive as they had non in stock. then i try to fit and they dont seal at the valve . i called today to be told oh no we dont sell those anymore the ones you have may or may not work we havent tried that combo. i think jon would have told you when you ordered she said. yeah right as id have ordered them and tried fitting if they werent the right ones

i have one set of very expensive wheels from jra im pretty sure it will be my last from them too ;-(

I've got the DTswiss rimstrip with both the sqaure block ones and another set up with the big based ones. The rubber just pulls into the hole and seals it with no problem.

Don't trim the big based ones down just use them as they are, you may want to trim the sides A LITTLE as it just allows the tyre to sit on better.

my works OK with this set-up.

ive tried mate and i tightened up the nut as tight as i dare to as i didnt want to ruin the rim but it just pisses air out of the valve. i just cant get it to seat in properly.

any tips as yours works ok ? mine are the 5.1 rims and the rimstrip leaves a channel for the valve to sit in and it doesnt sit in it right due to the width

Mine are 5.1's as well, are you fitting the rim strip and then fitting the valve into the rim strip? his way the rubber base should pull into the rimstrip and seal.

I also cut bit of old innertube and put it between the washer and rim. to act as an additional rubber seal.

when it goes into the hole in the strip , inbetween the strip and the rubber on the valve i tighten up but it leaves a small gap but its big enough to loose the air ;-( i bit of tube my help ive tried already with some rubber washers but no good

i can see how the square ones will fit better but cant find them any place online to buy ;-( unless i want to buy two full sets which is madness

Mine pulled the rubber base into the strip and the strip down onto the rim therefore sealing, the small rubber washer on the outside of the rim was just an added precaustion because they have them on the square based valves.

are you using stans latex as this should seal the small hole?

im using stans wheel milk but at just over 20psi it blows out the hole
how tight did you do up the screw on the valve ? if i do mine any tighter i'll need pliers to remove its if i get a puncture

have a look at the Mavic UST Valves I've been running them on both my DT 5.1's and 819's

Only by hand, if you pump it up and fill it with stans then inflate to about 45PSI ish and hold the wheel so the valve is at the bottom and let the milk seal the hole, it may seem to take a while but it will seal it eventually.

all the stans kits i've used are integral valves with the rim strip. only eclipse kits I've seen with seperate valves.

are you using stans rims with tape?

maybe worth while getting bmx tubes and doing the ghetto thing?

Sorted ๐Ÿ™‚ i put a bit of inner tube between valve and strip i could do with a little washer that goes on the valve between the rim and locknut as i split one and the other one with it on sealed much better and quicker. Dunno where to get one tried making one with tube but didnt work. Cheers
