And the weather is low 30s at 10am....

Currently high 30s now. Just sat in the carport fitting a new ring, sweating. Now sat outside with a nice cold IPA, sunnies on.

Sacked off the ride in favour of a beer. Surprising how easy that decision was! I'll go tomorrow.

Am I the only one who thinks using a day of precious holiday to do a twenty minute maintenance task and drink beer is a total waste?

Takes you 20 mins to change a chain ring? :p

I've got plenty of leave, accrued days off and TOIL. Work for the govt, can't keep up with the amount of leave I have!

No - I have the kids here now as it was too hot to ride, I had a beer, the granps dropped the kids off and we've been playing in the garden. They would normally have them on a Friday anyway but seeing as I wasn't riding I've had a lovely day in the sun with the kids and they are both sparked out on the sofa worn out. I had one beer. It's 4pm

So, you might be the only one with that opinion.

Yep, booked to go racing last summer and it hit 35c and they closed the forrest for extreme fire danger. Went to pub, somebody forgot to mention to the Scottish bike race organiser that it got hotter in the late afternoon as he set off for his run...

Yeah Mike mega fire danger here too. Would have been riding solo too which is not ideal if you have an off and there's no-one to help!

Got a couple of mates who've gone down to Margs and say it's a much cooler 32c there. Was at Jarrahdale last weekend, no-one there but much cooler. Always surprises me that no-one seems to go there much, it's about the closest trails to me.

Yeah, definitely not in Brum (but am from Wolves).

Looks like it might actually stay above zero for most of the weekend. Not warm enough to melt all the ice, though
