About to invest in new wheels & need some real world recommendations.
What are you riding? Strength over weight(obviously)!!!

An 18st cyclist will probly benefit more from wheels than an 18st rugbyist

I'd speak to a wheelbuilder and seek advice; you may well be looking at higher spoke count, etc.

At least handbuilt wheels might be easier to obtain spares for than many factory wheelsets.

I was (not now) 3st more than you when I got my Hope Tech Enduros and they've been fine for a couple of years so far.

Don't play rugby anymore, but after a good poo I'm almost 18stone.
I ride Flow EX's on pro2's in 650b flavour. Mavic 821's in 26" size. Both able to hold up to being ragged hard.

I build them myself, but I'm no expert. I don't run the lightest spokes tho, just regular DT DB.

If you're going through wheels, it's most likely the build not the rims etc:
