Hello,
Can anyone recommend a wheel bag to take 29 x 2.6 inflated tyres?
Thank you
Hope ones will probably work. I've had a 2.6 Conti Argotal in mine.
Evoc Double 29er bag is great and will take it easily
I just bought a double wheel bag from Planet X as all the reviews says it will take two big wheels. I've only tested it with one so far which did fit
The planet x selcof one is spot on for the money. Fits my 2.5 & 2.6 29er boost combo fine and feels robust enough for the job.
Evoc MTB wheel Bags - easy for 29x2.6

used lots and very durable - but others might take the piss you they see you using them...
A timely post as I had been also been after a set. The Selcof ones aren't in stock and there are loads available on Amazon/ebay which all suggest they can take the afore mentioned big & chunky 29er but rela world feed back is always good to have.
Challenge Tires Double Wheel Bag
Takes 4 wheels with CX tyres fitted so would be no issues with 2 wheels.
+1 for the PlanetX/Selcof, fits my pair of Boost/29x2.5 tyres.

This wheel bag fits my 29”, 30mm rim wheel with 2.6 Magic Mary and no need to deflate tyre. Great quality and superb price.
^^^^ That is my review of the Hope bag from Merlin......and it is indeed Proper Chunky!
Sorry, I forgot to come back and say thank you.
Cheers all.
What did you go for in the end?
I have some CRC ones which are pretty roomy and I’m after another set but they are out of stock so I ordered some Hope ones from Merlin. Cheers for the link 🙂 . Arrive tomorrow I think. I did have some Prime ones from Wiggle but although they are lovely and plush inside they’re a little snug with 700c wheels, 12sp cassette and inflated 30mm tyres on.
I went for the Hope ones from Merlin.
Fit a 29x2.6 Bontranger SE5 and I'm quietly hopeful my 29x2.5 vigilante will squeeze in although I haven't tried it yet.
They are slightly better padded but not quite as stiff as the CRC ones. They are however, much bigger.
Thanks again.
