Saw a lad a coupe of days ago riding a mountian style bike (could have been a BSO) that appeared to be made of a single space frame strut that ran fron the headtube to the rear triangle with the BB supported by at the bottom of the seat tube. The seat tube seemed to run through the spaceframe section and protruded about 8" above the main strut. Clear as mud?
I didn't get a really good look at it but it certainly looked ineresting....probably rode like a cow on castors though.
Anyone got any idea what it might have been?
Forgot to mention...it was green
Very very similar to that but the main tube was a spaceframe thing rather than a single tube 🙂
Closer but there was only one main spaceframe tube tube, not 2 as in the photo....
It lookes like on of those collumns bmade up of triangulare braces that are used to support lights above temporary stages
It was a hardtail

Ha, yeah Ton - never owned any of them though . . . mercifully 😉
Ooh ooh I think I know but can't remember what make they are. Magnesium frame thingumy.

No, that's the Kirk that's already been suggested.
Trimble was the first thing I thought of as well. About the only other beam bike I can think of is a Klein Mantra:
but it can't be that cos the OP said it was a hardtail.
mmmmmmmm
And the winner is.......
sc-xc.
Thank you, what is it? and is it any good?
Edit, sorry for the dealy in answering, had a bit of a connectivity issue last nght
CBR Gatecrasher. You can buy them from Littlewoods. Does that answer your questions?
It's funny - I only noticed it the other day as we were looking at very.co.uk (we had a discount code and needed an airbed). I saw a mountain bike section, and thought I'd take a look. It stood out from the page as a real looker....
£183 from Argos
I thought it looked quite smart too.
The fact that it's available from Argos accounts of the look of the lad that was riding it....it was on the mean streets of Stockton on Tees after all 😉
