I need to replace whatever piece of elastic I seem to have fitted now. Seems to have lasted about 6 months...
What's hot and what's not? Needs to be 3/32" as its going on the Rohloff (wish they did a 1/8" sprocket).
I normally just bung on a SRAM 8-speed and replace when worn.
I'm using a KMC from Charlie The Bikemonger - couple of years old at least now and still looks like new if a do ever wipe it over.
Happy with the KMC X8 I've got on my SS. Did 7 months SSing on the commuter, now done a few hundred miles on the MTB.
Plus it's shiny.
KMC i like,..... seems not to rust after washing and not lubing like other brands.

i think its a Z610HX I've got on at the moment. Checking my inbox, I certainly bought one in feb 2012, so maybe its lasted longer than I realised.
Alternative seems to be the KMC X1, but is it really worth nearly 3 times as much?
Actually, the other alternative is to get it all converted to belt-drive, but that's another issue...
