3D week on C4 next week. Whats the attraction?
A extra dimension?
...or if you agree with Dr Kermode, in relation to films, a gimmick produced purely to attempt a reduction in film piracy.
Mr Kermode is a grumpy git who spouts b0ll0cks sometimes. While 3d won't make a crap film watchable, it really adds something to the experience with a good film, Up and Monsters v Aliens and Coraline being three that I've seen this year where the animation becomes much more 'solid' looking. Given a choice, I'll take the 3d version every time, thank you, especially now you don't need the silly cardboard specs like you have to wear for the C4 3d shows. Sadly the polarised system like in the cinema won't work on a regular TV.
'Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs' in 3D was excellent. Made oi laff
