Hi All,
Have deciced that my hardtail is not only a little small for me, but I am also finding I'm getting a bad back so want suspension!
It's a 2007 Whyte 19 Trail alloy frame in medium, 2010 RS Reba Team Maxle 120mm forks, M970 XTR mechs and shifters, PG990 cassette, FSA Kforce carbon chainset, Hope Tech X2 brakes, Hope headset and BB, Thomson post and stem, Hope Hoops with Pro2s and DT5.1s.
New price to build would be circa £3.5k and whilst I know I'd get more splitting it, I don't really have time at present so a quick sale to allow me to buy a ready to go FS bike would be preferable.
Any ideas?
Anyone?
For every year you've owned it you've lost 30% of its value easily.
You might cry if it went on ebay for 1200.00
Just split it and flog the bits, or,
Chances are a lot of your kit would swap nicely onto a full suspension frame.
Selling a full bike relies on someone wanting to own that exact build and you are more likely to lose more financially going down that route.
If time is a major constraint i'm sure your local shop would arrange it all for you to do a frame swap.
Good point ref getting my LBS to do the work - have seen a couple of FS frames I like the look of so that might be the best bet.
