I will be stuck in downtown DC next weekend.
Can anyone recommend places to go or things to see, apart from the museums and the White House area?
Your not at Opnetwork by any chance are you?
Anyway - I was there 2 years ago for a week, managed to get myself to Annapolis and do some racing at Annapolis Sailing week - it was ace, the event was sponsored by Mt Gay Rum, with Mt Gay rum promo girls everywhere - they loved the English language ๐
Good way to end the working week - and all on expenses.
Sweat. It get hot.
1) Form a legendary hardcore band.
2) Sign to Dischord.
Go and have a look round Arlington cemetary.
The segway tour is a great way to see the Mall/White House/Capitol building.
Do the Pentagon tour, it's cool.
I really liked DC, felt more like 'home' than anywhere else I went to in the US. Feels like a big town rather than a sprawling, overpopulated capital city.
Oh, and I know you said "apart from museums" but the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum is all manner of awesome.
Go to a baseball game?
Oh - the zoo is really good too!
Thank you all. It looks like more museums, then ๐
