A fairly rare and expensive one in case you haven't seen the price to replace it yet 😉

I've got another Maxle in it. Got it for a good price, but it still wasn't cheap.

If this one folds up the same way I'll replace it with a bolt through.

The collar bit on the Maxle is really very thin.

I use the bolt in Maxle Stealth and use a torques wrench. I also have a healthy respect for aluminium screw threads.

Well, you should have replaced it with either a Maxle Ultimate or a bolt through.

Found out about the bolt through after I'd sorted the new Maxle.

Rick otter.
Replaced one under warranty not long back.
I guess if they made them stronger, we'd moan that they weren't lighter...

The LBS have sent mine back. Hopefully I'll get a refund under warranty. It looked like I had put it through a very large pencil sharpener.

If they made them stronger I'd be a lot happier and would be less likely to moan about them on the internet.

no point having something so light it is not effective at the task it is designed to do.
