Am looking at fitting a short cage rear mech, LX one, and was wondering what size sprocket it will cope with? Will be running normal 3x9 set up with normal size rings.
Any ideas?

32 will be fine, but in all honesty its more about the stupid crossgearing than the actual cog size.

It'll cope with your set up fine if you have a normal triple/11-32T cassette drivetrain.
