What if any does anyone do as regular maintenance in their brakes?

Other than bleeding them I have to admit I do nothing other than poke the dirt out of them every so often then have problems with sticking pistons

Is there more I could be doing to keep them running sweeter?

i point the hose pipe at them and spin the wheel. dunno if it does the brake much good but it gets the mud and bits of crap out.

The only thing I can think of is:
Take pads out, squeeze lever to bring pistons out a bit, few drops of brake fluid on them to lube them up, push pistons back in, replace pads. make sure you don't get any fluid on the pads.

That's it in theory. dunno if anyone actually does that though. I think 99% just point a hose at them.

Maintenance is an annual bleed thru with fresh fluid.

When replacing pads pump the piston out a small way, clean and lube before pushing back in

Sorting sticky pistons is repair

Don't do anything to my Hopes bar new pads when needed and fresh fluid every five years or so. All four are still working as well as they did the day i bought them.

Every now and again I will take the pads out and clean with a toothbrush and then do exactly what dirtbiker100 does. Brakes seem ok but a decent clean after every muddy . dusty ride seems to do just fine
